The Valentine’s Auction is live and bidding is now open. And we’re not the only ones who have fallen in love with this collection. We have already received many positive responses from interested buyers. Rightly so, as this is simply a strong and diverse collection.

In total, we are auctioning 72 lots, including:

• Embryos
• 2-year-olds
• Young horses under saddle
• Experienced horses competing at 1.35/1.40m level
• Broodmares
• A talented pony

In short: something for everyone.

The collection includes horses from exceptional damlines. A great example is 

Sayestha, who comes out of the renowned breeding program of the Dutch Moerings family. This damline also gave Fasther, who recently won a Grand Prix with Lillie Keenan. Horses from this lineage are known for their quality and mindset. We are proud to offer one at auction.

In addition, we are once again offering young horses. Because all horses are measured accurately, some may appear small at first glance. However, this can be misleading: many of these horses are currently only 18 to 22 months old and still have plenty of growth ahead.

For reference, please find below an indicative height guide (based on an expected mature height of approx. 1.65 m; indicative only, no guarantee, growth varies per horse)

Realistic growth schedule

• 18 months: approx. 1.54 – 1.56 m
• 19 months: approx. 1.55 – 1.57 m
• 20 months: approx. 1.56 – 1.58 m
• 21 months: approx. 1.57 – 1.59 m
• 22 months: approx. 1.58 – 1.60 m
• 23 months: approx. 1.59 – 1.61 m
• 24 months (2 years): approx. 1.60 – 1.62 m

All horses can still be tried out until they are sold on Tuesday.
