How big will the young horses become?
Since we are increasingly asked how buyers can estimate the eventual height of young horses, we’re happy to share a practical example. As a guideline for a horse expected to reach around 1.65m at 4 years old, the following average minimum growth measurements apply:
• 1 year: approx. 145–150 cm
• 2 years: approx. 155–160 cm
• 3 year: approx. 160–165 cm
• 4 years: approx. 165 cm
Of course, growth can vary per horse, but this indication may help you make a well-considered decision.
Our winter collection consists of 17 horses with show results up to 1.55m level, 18 free jumpers aged 3 and 4, 15 saddle-broken and lightly ridden horses, one implanted embryo, seven yearlings by young top stallions and sixteen two-year-olds that are already developing impressively.
