Qatar van de Achterhoek is a nine-year-old gelding with proven results at international 1.45m level. He is an honest horse with plenty of blood, making him a suitable partner for an ambitious amateur in the 1.45m classes, while equally having the quality to step into 1.50m ranking classes with a professional rider.

His sire, Best Man Z (1.30m), is a son of the BWP ambassador Bentley van de Heffinck and comes from a strong thoroughbred dam line.

The dam, Hyndra van Spieveld, offers an interesting blend of Catwalk van de Helle (by Contender), Toulon and Quasimodo van de Molendreef. She is the half-sister to no fewer than five international showjumpers, including the 1.55m horses Kyamant van ’t Spieveld and Oscar van Spieveld.

As the name suggests, this pedigree traces directly back to the renowned BWP performance line of Echo van ’t Spieveld, the former 1.60m Heartbreaker son ridden by Niels Bruynseels, who is also making an impact in breeding.
