With the four-year-old O-Rio Z you truly keep all options open. She has lots of quality and a good jumping technique. She is currently in foal to Willem Greve’s top stallion Highway M TN, and thanks to her own quality, outstanding pedigree and young age, she remains equally interesting to produce under saddle after foaling.

Her sire, Opium JW van de Moerhoeve, is exceptionally well-bred as a son of Kannan x Nabab de Rêve and the grandson of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare VDL Groep Eureka. He is also the half-brother of the 1.70m Grand Prix stallion Mumbai. The eleven-year-old Opium JW himself competes at international 1.50m level with Lillie Keenan (USA).

The dam, Challenging Z, is by Cassini II out of the Chellano Z mare Curios ET Z. Curios ET Z has already produced several top sport horses, including the 1.55m jumper Calypso des Joanins Z, the 1.50m horse Casuality Z (ridden by Christian Ahlmann), and two 1.45m horses. This dam line also produced the 1.60m stallions Gentleman and Viva la Vida, both competed by Karel Cox.

In foal to Highway M TN

Who does not remember Highway M TN’s spectacular victory in the Rolex Grand Prix at The Dutch Masters 2024? With a sensational round, he and Willem Greve claimed €330,000 and added yet another major win to their record, following successes such as the Grand Prix of CHIO Rotterdam. Highway M TN embodies the modern showjumper and is by the top sire Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN out of the 1.60m mare Bijou Orai.
