ABOUT

The seven-year-old Corvado van de Eijkhof is a fantastic amateur horse with international show experience at 1.20/1.25m level in 2024. He always jumps and has an excellent attitude. His owner also praises him as very well-behaved, although he may throw a small buck in response to leg aids.

His pedigree is highly promising, featuring Cornet Obolensky x Darco x Voltaire in succession. He comes from the proven lineage of Sapphire, McLain Ward’s former top horse.

Dam Nevada van ’t Merelsnest is a full sister to Domina van ’t Merelsnest (1.45m level showjumping) and a half-sister to the 1.40m level horses Jolente-A and Korinthe-A van ’t Merelsnest.

Great-granddam is the influential broodmare Idjaz-C (Hedjaz), the dam of no less than three 1.60m Grand Prix horses (including Sapphire) and five 1.50m level horses.
