O'HALIFAX ICE

The five-year-old mare O’Halifax Ice has already had a foal—no surprise given her pedigree—and is now ready to enter the sport. She is well-suited for a semi-professional rider. Sharp when ridden but with a good character over jumps, O’Halifax Ice will offer much enjoyment and success with the right training. She is best suited to a rider who can handle sensitive horses and works with feeling. 

The 1.70m level Grand Prix stallion Scuderia 1918 Halifax van het Kluizebos jumped very successfully under Lorenzo de Luca (ITA). He won so many Grand Prix in 2017 that he was proclaimed ‘WBFSH Horse of the Year’. His 12-year-old son Monseigneur competes at 1.60m Grand Prix level with Matt Archer (USA), and his nine-year-old approved son Prestige van het Kluizebos jumps 1.50m courses with Caroline Devos-Poels (BEL). 

O’Halifax Ice’s dam, Zavina Ice Z (Zirocco Blue), is bred out of the 1.40m level mare Annina Z (by Animo II Z) and traces back to the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Cold as Ice Z, ridden by Kevin Staut. Cold as Ice Z also produced As Cold As Ice Z, who jumped 1.60m courses with Judy-Ann Melchior. Annina Z is known for producing Crystal Ice Z (1.50m level), the stallion Nino Ice Z (1.45m) and Kalamaki R Z (1.40m).
