The 3-yr-old Novick W lives up to his pedigree. He shows a lot of scope during loose jumping and he does not want to touch the fence. A careful horse with a very good, active canter.

His sire Kassander van ’t Roosakker (1.40m level) is a full brother of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Kaprice. They are, like seven other international showjumping horses, bred out of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Electra van ’t Roosakker, ridden by Jos Lansink.

Dam Gonaives, daughter of Willem Greve’s Grand Prix stallion Carambole, did a good IBOP with eights for her reflexes and scope. Grandam Chocolat Punch (Triomphe de Muze) competed at international 1.35m level under Gabriel Coumans. Great-grandam Lucky Punch W, dam of four showjumping horses at 1.30m up to 1.45m level, was herself a famous appearance in the showjumping ring. She jumped Grand Prix under Leslie Howard, Tina Lund, Gabriel Coumans and Eric Hassbrouck.
