CAST AWAY Z

ABOUT

The 2-yr-old Cast Away Z scores high with his remarkably good canter and active hindleg technique. He was a little tense over the fence on the video day, but in our eyes he could be a rough diamond who will shine in the future. His dam jumped at international 1.45m level.

Sire Comme il Faut performed very well under the saddle of Marcus Ehning and is still very popular amongst the breeders and riders. The son of Cornet Obolensky out of ‘golden’ Ratina Z also has already more than twenty offspring at 1.60m level, including three who are placed at 1.65m level: Cape Coral, Cuma 5 and Cemal. There are even 113 licensed sons of Comme il Faut for breeding.

Dam Happy Feet Max (Darco) performed at international 1.45m level with Wilm Vermeir and Marit Haarr Skollerud and also already supplied a 1.45m level horse: Little Miss Sunshine under Perry Geryl (BEL).

Grandam Balinamore van den Blauwaert (Quintus d09 x Skippy II) bred fantastically well. She produced three 1.60m GP horses (Indiana Jones Max, Kill Bill Max and Toulouse Z) and three horses at 1.45m to 1.50m level. Balinamore’s half-brother Eder van den Blauwaert jumped 1.60m Grand Prix with Michel Hendrix (NED).
